City Pool, a rooftop pool in downtown Sao Paulo City, Brazil, this is the top of a twelve floor sports and social club, (SESC 24 maio) by architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha, The tall building in the background is Banespa ( centre left, with flag, also known as Farol Santander and Edificio Altino Arantes), Martinelli,( just below Banespa, red),
The pool can get crowded at weekends, but early birds catch it mostly empty.. The painting shows an empty pool as I was alone at the time, the ripples showing where I swam.
