Winter in the southern hemisphere, on a beach in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil.
Recife is the capital Pernambuco, Brazil. It built on a series of islands connected by bridges, in a wide estuary. The city is spread out and has easy access to many beaches.
the region of Boa Viagem and Pina Beach, sheltered by reefs, welcoms surfers and swimmers. As a painter, observing the sea breeze in winter, I see the clouds constantly blowing from east to west horizon, constantly changing the colour of the sky and sea, early morning sunny and blue, then grey purple clouds after lunch, with a rougher green sea, deep purple patches of seaweed, turning into a late afternoon light mist off the coast with sunlight reflecting on the sea beyond.
A serene seascape is depicted under a dynamic, cloudy sky with various shades of blue dominating the scene. Turquoise waters churn with whitecaps as they approach the shore, conveying a sense of movement and the raw power of the ocean.

Hi James, spotted your comment in the Milestones thread; if it is any consolation, the mystery of marketing is one of life’s conundrums! My son is an architect and my daughter-in-law a graphic designer on The Times of London and they haven’t figured it out either. It's one of those places where the weather changes quickly in Winter (August this year in the southern hemisphere). The sun breaking far out to sea while storm clouds roll in closer to shore.
