"Not just a friend" said the Artist, indicating me with a wave of his hand. "I hired him, he's a Private Eye". I nodded.
Mac took one look at the Artist and spoke without waiting to be asked.
"Out of towner, wanted me to arrange a safe house and getaway car. I turned him down". His eyes flickered nervously. He described the man. Suddenly the artist handed him a paper he had been scribbling on.
"Is this him?"

I enjoy your write-up and it seems like each one has a story.
James McCormack replied:
Thank you Lisa, yes there is a story. If you check my Film Noir Collection, they csn be seen/read in sequence.
Donna Mibus
Your best yet James! Loving the story, too.
James McCormack replied:
Donna, thanks. Story is moving, more coming as I bring the drawing out of the text..

You really set a mood with this one, James. The play of light and shadow is spot on. And a story that draws me in as well. Great work!
James McCormack replied:
I wrote the scene immediately after the previous one, took time to get the lighting right and make sure the characters look like themselves in different positions.
